Stuart Gosswein is the former Sr. Director of Federal Government Affairs for SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association. He has been affiliated with SEMA for 37 years, having worked for both the association and its general counsel. He handles a wide variety of issues from the regulation of motor vehicles/parts to taxes, health care, trade and intellectual property protection. SEMA represents the $47 billion specialty equipment automotive aftermarket industry. It includes more than 8,000 businesses including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, publishing companies, restylers, car clubs, race teams and more. The industry employs over one million Americans and offers custom auto products to enhance the appearance, performance and comfort of passenger and recreational vehicles.
